Hanks Creek Park, operated by the Corp of Engineers is located on the north-west shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The park contains forty-three campsites with 30 amp electrical service and water hookups and six campsites with 50 amp electrical service and water hookups. New to the park are eight Screened Shelters with adjacent RV sites with water and 50 amp hookups. The park also features a Group Camping Area with five RV sites combined with an open Group Shelter. Additional amenities include a volley-ball court, playground, boat ramp, courtesy dock, two waterborne restroom with hot showers , one trailer dump station, and a pay phone is also located in the Park.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 5)

SLOW. Water stained; 61 degrees; 2.43 feet above pool. Expect the clarity to be muddy after the rain. Water is being released so expect the water level to drop. Male bass are in the hay grass, or on the outside of the buckbrush. Bass are staging on points and stumps hitting Carolina rigs or rattle traps. Crappie are moving up the creeks to spawn. Catfish are transitioning to spawning grounds in shallow water in the creeks. White bass are up river, but should be making their way back down river.
