San Augustine Park, operated by the Corp of Engineers, contains one-hundred campsites with water and 30 Amp electric hook-ups. Five of these sites are tent only. The park also contains three waterborne restroom/shower buildings, one group shelter, one trailer dump station, one playground, one designated swimming area, one courtesy dock, one interpretive trail, two volleyball courts, one basketball court, one horseshoe court, and one boat ramp with four launching lanes. Sites 29-33, 50-70, and 87-100 are open year round. Sites 1-28, 34-46, 72-85 are open March 1 through the Labor Day Weekend.

Fishing Report from TPWD (May 21)

GOOD. Water stained; 77 degrees; 1.18 feet above pool. Fish are slowly moving out to summer patterns. Bass are good flipping brush and trees with high water. Pencil grass and hay grass are good with topwater frogs and poppers. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits are good on the points, humps and structure. Carolina rigs and jigs are good on the ledges and creek channels. Crappie are moving out slowly to the brush piles. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on cut bait in creek channels and ledges. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
