Sam Rayburn fishing in July!

Bass fishing has been awesome with the stabilized water levels! The grass is growing and the fish are loving all the new water! I have been running my trips like this...... early morning topwater and when it slows down I am backing off points with carolina and texas rigs and then when that slows up i am going to the brush piles to catch some crappie for supper! This pattern has been real successful for the month of July. I am posting some pice of a recent trip. Give me a call if you would like to get in on some of the best summer fishing Lake Sam Rayburn has seen in awhile at 936 554-9404.

Thanks,

Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 12)

SLOW. Water stained; 58 degrees; 1.73 feet above pool. Bass are slow to move on spawning beds while water is coming in, and water is being released. Bass are in the creeks, points and pockets staging in near spawning areas in 8 feet of water. Flipping the outside hay grass and buck bush rattle traps will land a few bites. Crappie are moving to creek pockets, and catfish are transitioning to creek pockets to spawn. Few white bass on points in the creeks hitting rattle traps, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
